The fresh nuts and leaves are easiest to work with, but dried nuts will work as well.
- Chop the nuts into the smallest possible pieces, and cover with vodka
- Let macerate in a dark, cool place for 4 to six weeks
Infused Leaf Oil
- Use fresh leaves, picked before tree starts to flower.
- Chop finely, and cover with olive or castor oil
- Let sit in a sunny window for 3 to 4 weeks(solar infusion)
- Strain carefully, pouring off the top, leaving any watery sediment
