Homemade drinks can be made that will please children and their parents. It is not as time consuming as you may think, and homemade sodas are cheaper too. You may even want to substitute stevia, or other natural, less processed sugars for regular table sugar in these drink recipes, the most important thing cutting down on the amount of chemical laden soft drinks your family drinks.

Recipe Instructions:
Herbal Tea
:
- Step 1. Make a pot of good tasting herbal tea. For the herbal tea base you could use lemon peel for a 7 Up type drink ,Rooibos or rosehips for a red, tangy High C type drink, sarsaparilla and cinnamon for root beer, and ginger for ginger ale. Experiment with your own favorite flavors.
- Step 2. Add stevia or sugar to taste, strain and let cool.
- Step 3. Serve over ice with a splash of soda water to give it that fizzy, bubbly texture kids love.
- Step 4. Add fresh lemon or lime slices for even more flavor and Vitamin C.
